Monique Luzza (aka Lutz) is a Melbourne-based artist and illustrator recognised for her versatile and multidisciplinary approach to art. With a background that bridges Graphic Design and Traditional Art, her work blends a variety of styles and influences, exploring themes of nature, decay, surrealism, the occult, history, and the beauty often overlooked in everyday life.
Drawing inspiration from her surroundings, Lutz’s art is shaped by found objects, urban exploration, the local music scene, history
and the quiet mysteries that linger in both natural and built environments. Her creative process is defined by a curiosity for combining techniques and disciplines — freely mixing methods to challenge boundaries and create work that feels both familiar and unexpected.
At its core, Lutz’s practice is about exploration and expression — embracing experimentation, layered ideas, and visual storytelling, while inviting viewers to pause, look closer, and rediscover the overlooked beauty in the world.
